Please tell Franck Ribery about alternatives to the Cortisone shots that he just refused. While long term cortisone injection use does cause damage (which Dr. Bennett can actually see during surgeries), adult stem cells and platelet rich plasma (“PRP”) are frequently effective, more natural ways to repair damaged tissue (whether by injury or degenerative conditions like arthritis) by injecting concentrated platelets and / or stem cells to promote healing and repair damaged cartilage, tendons, or ligaments, without the adverse effects of drugs. PRP, which is not covered by insurance,  typically costs $599-$1,600, which is often less than physical therapy costs WITH insurance, once copays and maximum benefit caps are calculated (not to mention the hassle of multiple appointments and time off of work). A PRP injection takes about 45 minutes, and you can usually return to activity immediately without any major restrictions.
