Dr. William Bennett and his wife, Lindsay, took some time off this summer to attend the wedding of Lyndon Lea and Sophie Dickens at the Four Seasons Resort in Serengheti National Park, Tanzania.

Lyndon Lea Private Equity owns Lion Capital. The new Mrs. Lea had 140 people brought down from London to the Kilamanjaro airport after which there was a hopper plane ride and then a truck ride to the Serengheti National Park. The event consisted not only of the wedding but of daily game rides in the 5,000 square mile preserve (that’s roughly 8 times the size of the Everglades). There was a diverse group of people, including an ex-prime minister, an NFL quarterback, famous actors and actresses, famous musicians, relatives of the bride and groom, and of course Dr. Bennett and Lindsay.

Dr. Bennett had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lea quite a while back. He performed stem cell therapy and arthroscopic surgery on the groom’s hip. Mr. Lea went on to win two US Opens and two British Open championships.
