Post Surgical Knee Instructions Arthroscopic with Stem Cells or PRP
Day 1 Post-Op: Surgical dressings are removed and bandages applied over sutures.
Day 2 Post-Op: Bandages are removed and you may shower. Do not rub, but dab around sutures, making sure that there is no moisture left in the crevices. You can use a hair dryer on cool to help dry. Put fresh bandages back on. It is okay to touch the incisions.
- Patellar mobilizations may start right away
- Outpatient physical therapy 3x/wk for 3 weeks
First 3 weeks Post Op: Bilateral TED hose worn during the day, not needed while sleeping.
First 3 weeks Post Op with stem cells: Use crutches with partial weight bearing. About 70% of your body weight.
